A friend on Facebook posted this picture of the cornerstone to the Masonic Building in Houlton Maine. The first floor is the Temple Cinema and the Monument Masonic Lodge #96 still takes up the third floor. I mentioned that my Great Grandfather Amos Putnam would have been involved in the Masons at that time and he gave me the link to the to the Genealogy & Family Information of the Grand Lodge in Maine website. I was able to find my Great Grandfather's, Granduncle's and 2nd Great Grandfather's records there. Here is a transcription of Amos's and I will do the others in future posts. I may have posted this before for Amos, but not tied to this source.
